There was cheque presentation, ‘ang pow' distribution, lunch, and performances put up by Marcus Chin and his artistes. After the event, rations were distributed to our befriendees.
Held next to our Home on 25 December 2004. Kids were treated to magic shows, games, prizes and goodies during this event. Ronald Macdonald and a staff from SMRT each put up a magic show to entertain the children.
SMRT volunteers brought our elderly out for a Junkboat Cruise to Kusu Island on 22 November 2004 to mark the beginning of Senior Citizens Week and their donation drive in aid of our Home. They went for another outing on 26 November 2004 to Changi Airport to mark the end of the Senior Citizens Week.
The event, held on 10 October 2004, was graced by Mayor Matthias Yao. More than 2000 lanterns were given away to children who came to take part in the lantern procession. A singing performance by ‘Tan Chang Ren' was put up to entertain the adults while a separate magic show was put up to keep the kids occupied.
The elderly were treated to a "Qian Shou Guan Yin" Charity Show performance on 16 November 2007, held at Expo max pavilion. The performance was stunning and inspiring, as every troupe member was disabled in some way, such as being blind, deaf or physically disabled.
The opening ceremony was held on 21 May 2005 and the event was graced by Mayor Matthias Yao. A Neighbourhood Fair, Chinese Painting Exhibition and Free Haircut Session were held as part of the programs for the opening ceremony.
The group came and put up an inspiring and touching performance on 05 December 2004 at the Kallang Theatre. The proceeds from the show was donated to our Home. Members of the troupe were brought on a tour of Singapore the following day before bidding them farewell.
